PRO launched on the Farcaster feed as an experiment in governance related to the Farcaster Pro subscription that had recently been introduced. Roughly 95% of the 10,000 eligible recipients claimed their airdrops on the Farcaster feed by "ratifying Procoin governance."

The core goal of the experiment was to assert influence in the Farcaster protocol via a token-voting governance mechanism. However, after early feedback from many participants, it became clear that the initial approach needed re-thinking, as the token voting model wouldn't be impactful without real economic leverage on Farcaster.

We've reorganized the project and reframed the goals to focus on content curation as a means of gaining influence on Farcaster. The PRO token is at the center of our new content curation protocol as the liquidity pairing for all feedcoins.

Token Allocations​

$PRO is 1 billion total supply

  • Initial Airdrop: 50% (2.1% of supply unclaimed and reallocated to project treasury)
  • Uniswap V4 Liquidity: 50% of supply

15 million PRO generated from LP fees have already been redistributed to Farcaster users via various community initiatives. We plan to distribute tens of millions of PRO generated from fees to early curators via feedcoins. We will continue to accumulate PRO LP fees and allocate them from our treasury.
