Creating a Feed

Any Farcaster user who wants to curate a feed can create one. To create a feed, go to the Create Feed page in the Feeds miniapp. Choose a symbol (must be unique and untaken), a feed name, an image url and a description for your feed. Except for the symbol, you can change all of these later.

To create a feed, you must deposit the minimum amount of PRO (currently 50k) to initiate the bonding curve. The PRO tokens will be converted to feedcoins and added to your balance. The larger your initial deposit, the higher the starting market cap of your feedcoin. Said another way, if you want to invest in yourself, you're incentivized to deposit a larger stake from the beginning because you are buying up the cheapest part of the bonding curve with your initial deposit.

Before creating a feed, we recommend doing some thinking about what themes or subjects you want to curate around. All curated content comes from Farcaster, so if the kind of content you want to curate doesn't exist on Farcaster, you may have to generate it yourself or there won't be much to curate to your feed.
