Feeds
Feeds is our Farcaster miniapp. It's an alternative way to enjoy Farcaster content. Curators curate "feeds" of Farcaster posts for other users to consume. Feeds can be curated around a theme, subject, community or vibe.
Feeds is built on the Procoin Curation Protocol (PCP) which is a set of smart contracts deployed on Base and tightly integrated with Farcaster. You can read the whitepaper here.
The goal of the PCP is to create a sustainable economic model for curators. There's a lot of good content on Farcaster that goes mostly undiscovered.
Each feed comes with a feedcoin which is immediately tradable on creation of the feed. Curators earn swap fees when traders trade their feedcoin. Creators - the original content posters - are also incentivized in the model. On each curation of a post, curators are issued a quantity of feedcoin to compensate them for their work.
Feedcoins are traded on a bonding curve where supply is dynamic increasing or decreasing alongside price. Price goes up means supply goes up and vice versa. To simplify some elements of trading UX, feedcoins balances are represented in contract state and are not ERC20. However, anyone is free to build an ERC20 wrapper for fungible use cases.
